The 16-year-old actress, Lily Brooks O’Briant joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Lucy Romalotti in January 2023. While we all have seen her excel in her acting in Y&R as well as her previous works like Life By Ella and The Big Show Show, she is a literal ball of talent. Besides acting she also loves singing and in her recent Instagram, she talked all about it, especially her new release.
On April 25, Lily dropped her new song called Over and Over. On her Instagram, she wrote, “Out RIGHT NOW on all music streaming platforms! I hope y’all enjoy this song just as much as I do!” She also added how much this song meant to her as this was her first original song release ever! She explained how it was so scary releasing something so personal to her out into the world. But she knew a lot of her friends would be able to relate to what she was feeling while writing this song.
She expressed her gratitude to her whole team and friends who helped and supported her on this song. “Thank you so much to my incredible friend [Ethan Argon] for co-writing this song and for supporting all of my ideas, good or bad. Thank you to the amazing music team Riveting Entertainment for believing in me and for guiding me through this process!” she continued in the caption.

That’s not all. Lily also gave us a little backstory of this song on the next day of its release; the real reason and experience that led her to write this song. Judging from her post, it looks like the song is directed at somebody, most likely, her ex-boyfriend. She said something like, “You were young and dumb and in love, and then you catch him with another girl.” Looks like Lily just got her heart broken, and she is here to tell all about it through the song.
Last time we checked, she was dating actor/singer Kingston Rumi Southwick. He is best known for his role as Josh Steven in the movie, Full Moons. The couple was dating till March, which we know of, and Lily even posted a cute picture of them on his birthday, which she has deleted. There is no sign of them together at present.

So, is this song about him? Did he cheat on her, which according to Lily’s song was not once but a couple of times? If that is true then this song will be a problem for him.
