Mishael Morgan’s back! Amanda helps Jill-Lily win court battle against Devon
Mishael Morgan, who is best known for her roles as Hilary Curtis and Amanda Sinclair on The Young and the Restless, is making her highly-anticipated return to the show. Morgan originally joined the cast in 2013 originally as Hilary Curtis and quickly became a fan-favorite with her portrayal of the ambitious and cunning television personality. She appeared on the show for four years before taking a brief break in 2017. However, she returned to the show as Amanda Sinclair. And here she is back on the show again. Fans were thrilled to hear about Mishael Morgan’s return to the show and can’t wait to see what new storylines and drama her character will bring. She had decided to depart from the show in 2022 due to personal reasons. During the time of her departure, she stated that she wanted to spend more time with her family and pursue other opportunities.
But the Daytime Emmy winner hasn’t forgotten her former friends in Genoa City. Morgan recently posted a story on her Instagram and wrote, “Crazy hair don’t care… Cuz I’m going to LA #YR”.

Morgan compares her recent departure from Y&R to the time when she left as Hilary
In contrast to when she left her role as twin sister Hilary years ago, Morgan claims that when she left her role as Amanda, she didn’t feel devalued. The show wanted her to stay and made it clear that Amanda could go off screen but she’s not dying. Morgan told TV Insider, “They said, “we’re not going to kill you twice.”
Now, as she is back it will be fascinating to observe Amanda’s interactions with those she meets again. Phyllis Summers might use the chance to talk to her closest friend and seek some advice as she constantly seems to be in trouble. Phyllis actress Michelle Stafford hinted on Instagram that they have filmed scenes together with this post.

“Maybe we worked together, Maybe we didn’t. You’re gonna have to wait until March,” wrote Michelle, hinting that Morgan will be appearing for Y&R’s 50th anniversary episode.
Without a doubt, Devon Hamilton and Amanda will appear in scenes together while she is in GC. She may be ready to talk about Devon cheating on her and also check in on Chance as he was with her when they found out about their respective partner’s betrayals. As the court battle for the Chancellor-Winters merger reaches its boiling point, this may be the main reason Amanda is coming to town.
We don’t know how long Amanda is staying but it’s definitely an exciting time to return to the show. While Mishael reprises her Y&R role, fans must be glad that she won’t stop portraying the doctor on Chicago Med. The Young & Restless alum will keep appearing on Chicago Med as Petra Dupre as she confirms to TV Insider that her character is not soon to be forgotten. She is settling in at Chicago Med and making new friends.
