Y&R star Michelle Stafford net worth | How much money has Michelle Stafford made so far?
Michelle Stafford made her acting debut in 1990 with a small role on the Fox channel’s teen drama, Tribes, that most of you may not remember. Then in 1994, she landed the role of Phyllis Summers on Y&R, which has become the most popular role of her career. Her role on Y&R is also a reason she is counted among the top richest stars in the soap world. So how much net worth does Stafford exactly has to her name? Let us find out.
Michelle Stafford’s history on Y&R
We must admit, Young and the Restless would not be the same without Michelle Stafford and her portrayal of Phyllis Summers, a master of stirring up troubles. That’s a reason why the showrunners brought her back every time she left.
Stafford is the original actress to bring the character of Phyllis Summers to life. The producers had initially planned a short stint for Phyllis but her immediate success changed their minds. She was eventually placed on contract.
However, along the line, Stafford decided to discontinue her contract and left the soap for other career opportunities. She went on to join the Fox soap, Pacific Palisades, while Y&R went on to pick Sandra Nelson as Phyllis’s recast. That recast lasted only two years and Stafford made a comeback in 2000.
She stayed through 2013. Then she hopped on to another hit soap opera, General Hospital, and originated the role of Nina Webster. Gina Tognoni filled in for her during her absence this time and left when she once again returned in 2019.

Michelle Stafford owns two properties in California
Stafford has appeared in over 1700 Y&R episodes so far. Needless to say, she is one staple cast member of Young and the Restless and one of the richest female stars on the show with approximately 15.6 million bucks to her name.
According to Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, soap stars who have been in the scene for 5 to 10 years can make $1500 to $3000 per episode. Of course, the pay for soap veterans who have been in the business for over ten years is much higher with a small percentage earning over $5000 per episode. Stafford’s exact salary is not known but she sure earns a pretty hefty paycheck.
Stafford’s net worth includes her Larchmont Village home, which she listed for sale in 2020 for $949,000. As per Dirt, the actress had scooped up this 20s built Spanish bungalow over twenty years ago for $225,000. Before listing the home for sale, she had initially put it up for rent, first for $5300 and then for $4800.
Besides this pint-sized bungalow, Stafford owns another property, which is a larger, more family-sized home in nearby Glendale. She bought this one in 2012 for just over 925,000 bucks.
