Eric Braeden has been playing the Iconic role of Victor Newman, the business tycoon in The Young and the Restless since 1980. And over these 40 years of seeing Victor, he is famously known for his ultimatums, the serious face, warnings and occasional outbursts. No wonder he is called , “The Mustache”.
I mean one is obviously because of his signature mustache but another is the way it hides the smile that we get to see rarely. You don’t see Victor laughing, all you get is a couple of evil and schemy smiles or sometimes a chuckle when he wins over his enemies. So, we all know Victor as this serious scary guy but in real life, Braeden is the total opposite.
Braeden has a remarkable sense of humor. Even when he was dealing with Bladder cancer, he didn’t stop making jokes then. He is a man full of life and shares his life experiences and thoughts with humor which we love. Thankfully, he is all fit and got his awesome victory over cancer. He can be serious when he needs to be but never takes out the fun of life. And one example of that is the behind the scenes footage in Y&R set.

Behind those intense Victor Newman scenes, there’s a whole different side to Eric Braeden, and it’s hilarious. Thanks to a fan, we got to see a bunch of outtakes where Braeden can’t keep a straight face and bursts into laughter while trying to spit out his lines. It is surprising but in the best way.
He is still the goofy guy that we all love. The fan not only posted one video but also a part 2 in his twitter and Braeden took notice of that. He said, “Could you send this to me in a different format? I want to post on IG as a post not a story”.
Seeing everyone laugh their hearts out in these bloopers is priceless. So, the next time you catch Victor Newman looking all teary-eyed in a scene, just remember, it might not be what you think.
