“The Bold and the Beautiful” sensation Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is not just a soap opera queen; she’s a supermom juggling the chaos of both the on screen drama, and the wild ride of motherhood. Known for her role as Steffy Forrester on B & B, Wood, along with her partner, Elan Ruspoli, is mastering the art of parenting with their four boys – Rise, Lenix, Brando, and Valor. not to mention the dynamic duo of their two adorable fur babies.
Now, bouncing back into shape post-baby is a talent in itself, but when you’re dealing with the whirlwind of a soap opera career, and managing a brood of four, it’s a whole different ball game. Yet, Wood, a pro at making it all seem like a cakewalk, effortlessly glides between on-set drama and teaching her son, Rise, how to ride a bike, all while skateboarding herself – just check her Insta for proof.
In an exclusive chat with Digital Journal, Wood lets us in on her secret to mastering the ultimate juggling act. Balancing career and family is her top priority, and she credits the producers of “The Bold and the Beautiful” for making it possible. “I want to be there for my children, and not miss a second,” she said, which just shows her commitment to being a hands-on mom.

But let’s face it, even for a soap star, life can get messy. Wood spills her tricks for keeping the crazy in check – meditation and breathwork, even if just for a few minutes, to stay calm amid the chaos. Meal prep, calendars, and lists are her go-to tools, and she graciously gives herself a break when the to-do list feels never-ending. Nourishing her body with healthy food is a must, ensuring she’s fueled up for those long soap opera days, and sleepless mom nights.
However, just because Wood looks like a pro, doesn’t mean she’s got it all figured out. In a chat with Soap Opera Digest, back in 2019, she revealed her crash course in motherhood with the birth of her first son, Rise. “You read all the books and you feel him in your arms, and everyone leaves the room, and you’re like, ‘Okay, Now what?'” she shared.
“My first moment of panic was when we were about to leave the hospital. I was in the wheelchair, and we’re about to put him in the car seat, and I said, ‘Oh could you guys help?’ And they said, ‘No.’ I guess for liability reasons? The moment you leave the hospital, you are on your own.”
Fast forward to now, and Woods is a master at the car seat game, tackling the ups and downs of motherhood four times over. When she’s not seen as Steffy Forrester on “B & B,” she’s flaunting her dance moves on Instagram, even with a baby bump. I bet you’ve all seen that, and if not, you have to! The girl’s got skills, not just with the Daytime Emmy wins, but also as a role model for moms everywhere.
She is the ultimate mom, who’s got it all, from a fantastic career to a wonderful and sometimes crazy family, run by boys. Kudos to her for handling and getting it done. Let’s all show some love for Wood, because she definitely deserves it, in the comments below.
