Sheila Carter is alive but who did Steffy Forrester Kill that night?
Will Colleen Zenk’s character Aunt Jordan get killed off on The Young and the Restless?
Looks like Genoa City drama with Aunt Jordan and Nikki is still not over yet, The Y&R head writer and producer Josh Griffith just teased another plotline and looks like the feud’s about to get uglier. Let’s look at what he has to say right away.
Josh Griffith teases terrible plotline about Aunt Jordan
From the moment Josh Griffith came back as head writer and executive producer of Young and the Restless, fans have had mixed feelings about him. The first thing that put off the viewers was when he fired a whole team of breakdown writers back in March. So, from that point we knew, there was going to be a lot of fluctuations in the upcoming storylines, which did.
Many fans had their concerns of where the show was heading and they were very displeased with the storylines. And while many people loved that he was bringing the old characters back to the show, others thought that’s because he had nothing original of his and some even called him lazy trying to repeat the same old story again and again. Anyways, it was clear many fans weren’t happy with Y&R this year and Jordan’s storyline has also received the same reaction.
Soap vet Colleen Zenk gets bullied online after her comeback to daytime world
A new villain character, Jordan, was introduced back in November, played by the soap vet Colleen Zenk. While it’s been an honor having her with the show, there have been comments about how her storyline is getting longer and longer.
In a recent interview with soap hub, after Griffth won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series, he said that Zenk’s work on the show was just “phenomenal.” He also couldn’t stop praising Hayley Erin on her work as Claire, the supposed dead baby of Victoria and Cole. For him, it’s been a joy writing that story, and says, “It’s one of those things that keeps giving. We’ve got years of [story] to tell.” So it looks like Hayley is staying for a long time.
That’s not all. This year’s win was actually Griffith’s 9th Emmy award, including the ones from Santa Barbara and One Life to Live. He had sent Chelsea’s near death experience part for the nominations, and when he was asked how it affects her today, he said, “It’s a day-to-day struggle, one that we’re trying to stay true to as we go forward.” He also added that Chelsea needs to, “do the work, stay in treatment, take the medications, and, hopefully, become a better parent given the situation.”
When it comes to Claire, Griffith totally gets that fans are eager to see her connect with another troublemaker from the Newman family, Adam, played by Mark Grossman. He’s hearing the buzz, with everyone asking, “When will she meet Adam?”
Griffith spills the beans that this storyline has been a real showstopper, especially for Melody Thomas Scott, who’s been rocking it as Nikki. As this plot has thrown Nikki into a bit of a bottle-bound situation, it is giving Scott a fantastic stage to shine. And when he was asked if we’ll be spotting Scott at the next Daytime Emmy Awards, Griffith confidently says, “we will.” So, it looks like Mel is up for next year’s nod and Jordan’s finals story is far from over.
