Sheila Carter is alive but who did Steffy Forrester Kill that night?
The Impersonator of B&B’s Thorsten Kaye Almost Got a Man Killed!
Last week, the Bold and the Beautiful star, Scott Clifton took to his Instagram to give a little heads up to the fans about the increasing problem of scammers and imposters that’s going around, basically plaguing the internet.
While he was talking about the issues of scammers extorting money from fans with a fake profile of the stars, he also happened to mention an incident that happened to his fellow cast member last month. He talked about the growing problem of the issue that has ruined, not just of the fans but also the actors lives. And one of the victims beside the fan is also Thorsten Kaye.
In Boston, there’s been quite a bizarre incident involving a 64-year-old woman named Roxanne Doucette from Townsend, Massachusetts. Apparently, she thought she was actually talking with Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge Forrester from “The Bold and the Beautiful” via text. Doucette’s daughter stumbled upon this whole mess when she discovered her mom had been sending money to an impersonator posing as Kaye.
The messages took a seriously dark turn when the scammer suggested Doucette should get rid of her husband. To be exact he said, “You have to get rid of your husband, honey. I need you so much.” And she responded with some disturbing messages about making a special soup with poison and hinting at life insurance plans. Things escalated when she called an ambulance for her husband, claiming he wasn’t feeling well.
As if that’s not wild enough, Doucette finally came clear to the police, revealing she thought she was chatting with an actual star. To her neighbors, she painted a different story, claiming her husband had a heart attack. Luckily for him, he was released from the hospital eventually.

But the story didn’t end there! Doucette now faces attempted murder charges. She made a brief court appearance in December, got released with some serious restrictions, including not contacting her husband or daughter. But she couldn’t resist, and allegedly sent her husband a letter, begging him to drop the restraining order, insisting she loved and missed him.
After such a scary incident, “The Bold and the Beautiful” reps had to step in, using X to give fans a heads up. They dropped a friendly reminder stating,
Dear @BandB_CBS fans. A gentle reminder that our cast/crew/staff will NEVER solicit you personally for money or anything else. If you are being contacted by someone portraying themselves as a cast member please report them immediately to X and/or to local authorities. We…

Remember, if you ever get a text from your favorite TV character asking for money, it’s not them. It might just be the next big scandal waiting to unfold. So far, Kaye hasn’t responded to this incident but his friends sure are helping to make the fans aware. And like Clifton said , if you come across such accounts, make sure you report them and read someone’s social media handle closely, to see if it’s fake or real. Most importantly, ask strangers to prove they are who they say they are. Think critically about whether what they tell you actually proves what it’s supposed to.
