Mishael Morgan and Christel Khalil’s Journey from Hatred to Besties

Melody Thomas Scott & Eric Braeden just had the sweetest interaction on the Y&R set
We just got Nikki and Victor’s behind-the-scenes moment, and trust me, the video Melody Thomas Scott just posted will definitely make your day. Watch the full video to see it.
More than just co-stars: Melody Thomas Scott & Eric Braeden’s bonding in real life
Melody Thomas Scott and Eric Braeden go way back, practically aging in sync on the set of The Young and the Restless. Melody took on the role of Nikki in 1979, and Eric followed suit as Victor just a year later, in 1980. With all those years on set, it’s no wonder they’ve become incredibly tight-knit. And let’s not forget, they’re the iconic on-screen couple that everyone adores. To show their strong bond, Scott just shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes video that was supposed to be a TikTok trend, but it turned out to be more than just that.
On her Instagram, Scott shared a video, where she was trying out “this TikTok trend, albeit on Insta,” and went on to explain, “This is what happened when I asked Eric Braeden the very popular question, ‘How often do you think about the Roman Empire?’ And well, be careful what you ask for!”

If you didn’t know about this trend, it involves women asking their boyfriends or husbands how often they think about the Roman era, and surprisingly, a good number seem to claim that they actually think about it on a regular basis. However, we’re pretty sure no one on this trend has delved into it as passionately and thoroughly as Braeden did. He literally gave a full history lesson on it. Going on every bit of detail of that legendary era. And he sure didn’t end it in a couple of seconds, like it usually does. It was supposed to be a fun trend, but he really schooled her on history.

After she posted that, another Y&R star, Sean Dominic, aka Nate on the show, also hopped in the comments, laughing, and some fans also said that he needed to do a podcast discussing history. Everyone would love to hear it. Another fan also expressed how listening to their voices comforted them because they reminded them of their childhood. The comments were all just wholesome.
To make it even funnier, Braeden wasn’t done in just one video, so Scott has to post another video on her Instagram with the caption, “Part 2! Yes, it continues!” And there you’ll catch him getting into anecdotes about Marlon Brando, who once delivered the famous Marc Antony speech, “Friends, Romans, and countrymen, lend me your ears.”

In Part 2, a fan commented, “He sure didn’t hold back about John Gielgud. He’s worked with so many greats, would love to hear his stories about Hollywood!” Since Scott said she would be asking him some more questions, maybe he will answer them too in another video. So make sure to follow them on Instagrams as well as their TikToks.
