Victoria has once mixed business with love, and it definitely wasn’t a good show. The memories are still fresh in our heads of how Ashland Locke made her life a living hell with his notorious antics before dying at the hands of his brother-in-law, Nick. But we guess Vikki has the memory of a goldfish. No wonder, she is once again walking down the same road by developing feelings for her new business partner, Nate Hastings. What’s in store for this new pairing? Let’s hear it from Amelia Heinle herself.
Heinle on Victoria surprisingly instigating a kiss on Nate
Nate Hastings disappointed quite a lot of fans when he sold out his own blood to get to powers at Newman Enterprises. Nonetheless, Victor and Victoria were certainly impressed.
“Victoria is very intrigued by Nate,” Heinle, the actress who brings Vikki to life on Young and the Restless, told Soap Opera Digest after the episode where Vikki planted a kiss on Nate’s lips.

In case you missed the episode, here’s how it took place. Victoria was so excited about their plan to take down Tucker with Audra as their secret weapon that she spontaneously kissed Nate. Shocked, Nate pretended nothing happened and continued discussing business with her. The other day, Nate tried to clear the air about their unexpected encounter. But Vikki completely ignored the topic saying they should focus on their work.
Victoria might have skipped an awkward conversation with Nate but she can’t escape her feelings for him. It’s not hidden that Vikki is charmed by her new colleague. And according to Heinle, Vikki is not going to stop after that one kiss.
“I think she’s been a little lonely and she knows that he can be trusted. After everything she’s been through with Ashland and how difficult all of that was, it’s just nice for her to know someone who is a solid person,” she gushed.

Will Nate leave Elena for power on Young and the Restless?
Heinle is well aware of the fact that her alter ego is set to face serious opposition as Nate is still in a relationship with Elena Dawson. But she believes Vikki stands a chance in this love game.
Back when Nate was working as a doctor, he and Elena had plenty in common. They could have long engaging conversations about work and everything else. But now Hastings isn’t a doctor anymore. He is a businessman and shares more common ideas with Victoria now. He spends most of his time at the office and has already missed plenty of dates with his lady. It’s also noteworthy that although Vikki was the instigator, Nate didn’t stop the kiss.
Victoria is putting too much trust in Nate, letting him into the private affairs of her family. Do you think it’s smart of her to think he can’t do her harm as Ashland did? After all, he betrayed his actual family when he felt he was not receiving enough attention at Chancellor-Winters.
Amelia argues that Nate did the right thing by selling out his family. “He did something that [Victoria] probably would have done herself. So she can’t judge him for that. In fact, she actually admires him for that,” the actress noted.
