Sheila Carter is alive but who did Steffy Forrester Kill that night?
Bold and the Beautiful Top 10 Greatest Characters of All Time
We’ve had so many different characters on the Bold and the Beautiful over the years that it’s hard to keep track of who’s who in Los Angeles. But it wasn’t hard to pick the best of the best from the lot. The Forresters, the Logans, the Spencers and the Spectras are an interesting bunch and most of the characters on our list are from recent times but there are also some veteran stars that can’t be missed when making a greatest B&B characters list.
So let’s not waste any more time and get right to it. Here are our picks for the Top 10 greatest characters to have appeared on the Bold and the Beautiful.
Ridge Forrester
Ridge Forrester has been a part of the show since its inception in 1987. Formerly portrayed by Ronn Moss, the ladies man has waffled between many beautiful women, especially his favorites Brooke Logan and Taylor Hayes.
Following the recast with Thorsten Kaye in 2013, Ridge seemed to have a personality change as he put his waffling to rest and settled down with the love of his life, Brooke. They have had their ups and downs but always seem to find their way back to each other.
Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley)
The original Sally Spectra, portrayed by the late actress Darlene Conley, would not approve of how her grandniece fled the city after faking her illness. We’re not really sure how we feel about the younger Sally Spectra anymore but given her legacy, she deserves some respect.
Conley played the larger than life character for almost two decades, until her death on January 14, 2007. She was originally intended to appear for a brief time but the show brought her on full time after massively positive response from viewers.
In 2006, looking back on her character, Conley said, What a lucky broad I am to have Sally. And we’re even luckier to have witnessed the icon, who was the first soap opera character to be commemorated at Madame Tussauds.
Sheila Carter
The notorious Sheila Carter crossed over to the Bold and the Beautiful from its sister show The Young and the Restless in 1992 and was up to her old tricks in no time. The character was given a new face (Michelle Stafford) after she had plastic surgery to look like Phyllis and was declared dead on Y&R in 2007 but the writers at B&B resurrected her a decade later with the original actress Kimberly Brown for a summer of scheming. Brown was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award in 1993 for her role.
Quinn Forrester
We love Rena Sofer as the evil Quinn Forrester and the woman has committed enough crimes to last multiple lifetimes. It’s no secret that Quinn can’t stand the Logan women, especially Brooke.
Another set of people that she seems to despise is Pam and Charlie, who decided not to get married after Quinn threw a fit saying they couldn’t tie the knot in the Forrester mansion. The role has been portrayed by Emmy winner Sofer since July 2013.
Eric Forrester
These days Eric Forrester is the level headed patriarch of the Forrester family and a sweet husband to Quinn. But back in the day, Eric was as much as troublesome as some of the other characters on the show. The lovable John McCook originated the role in 1987 and he has played the role ever since.
From his two baby mamas, he has six biological children, and two adopted. He was married to Stephanie four times and Brooke twice. In case you forgot, he was also married to Donna Logan, Sheila Carter and Quinn Forrester.
Maya Avant
We last saw Karla Mosley as Maya Avant on the show in May 2019 when she returned to LA without her husband Rick Forrester. The storyline wasn’t explored and we haven’t seen the Forrester Creations model since then.
In October this year, the actress announced that she was out at the soap permanently. Maya’s entry in the soap in back in 2013 sent shockwaves through the genre as she was the first transgender character in the history of American daytime to appear in a regular role.

Steffy Forrester
Bold and the Beautiful’s resident diva, Steffy Forrester, is a force to be reckoned with. The motorcycle riding fashion designer grew up on the show and has been portrayed by the amazing Jacqueline MacInnes Wood all her adult life.
Until recently, she was competing with arch rival Hope Logan for Liam Spencer’s affections, following the tradition of animosity between her mother Taylor and Hope’s mother Brooke. Steffy’s performance has been met with favorable reception from viewers as well as the critics and garnered her the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2019.
Brooke Logan
Katherine Kelly Lang debuted as Brooke Logan in 1987 and continues to portray the role to this day. Her longtime rivalries with Stephanie and Taylor, and her complicated relationship with Ridge made her the quintessential heroine on the show that she is now.
Her and Ridge may belong together but we can’t forget her questionable entanglements with Eric, Thorne, Bill and as you may remember Deacon, her daughter’s boyfriend. Lang was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in May 2020.
Stephanie Forrester
Stephanie Forrester may have passed away on the Bold and the Beautiful but she will never be forgotten. As the matriarch of the Forrester family, she was surrounded by plenty of drama raising her four children.
Stephanie didn’t approve of her sons falling for Brooke but she eventually began to soften towards her and in the end, it was Brooke who was by her side when she died of lung cancer. Brad Bell once said that Stephanie and Brooke are the true supercouple of B&B. Three time Emmy award winner Susan Flannery played Stephanie for 25 years.
Will Susan Flannery ever return to the Bold and the Beautiful? Know about the upcoming shocker in this YouTube video.
Bill Spencer
Bill Spencer has always been trouble. B&B’s notorious bad boy made his debut in 2009 when actor Don Diamont joined the soap after ending his two decade run on its sister soap the Young and the Restless.
“It’s funny how one door closes and another opens. I had a lot of emotion tied to Y&R. My entire adult life had been there, including so many relationships. Little did I know that such a great character and work situation was literally around the corner,” the actor said.
