The actress, Mandie Taketa known for the movie Manband was born on March 3, 1976, in Hawaii, USA. The talented and versatile actor is also a martial artist and yoga instructor. She was born to Ronald Taketa and the late Marilyn Denise Burns. She attended the University of Miami and also was a part of a dance scholarship at the University of Hawaii.

She is not only limited to acting but she also is a renowned bodybuilder. She has participated in various competitions. She owns three different companies; Anything Everything Productions, Adell Body Works, and This Lifetime. 

The actress is also known for starring in the movies Untitled CBS/ Wayne Brady Project, Celebrity Family Feud, and Unsung Hollywood. Mandie has won a couple of awards including the Daytime Emmy Award for The Wayne Brady Show and 30000 Reason to Love Me and also the Prime Emmy Award.

Mandie Taketa was married to an American television personality, Wayne Brady in 1999. They have a daughter, Maile Masako Brady who was born in 2003. Wayne Brade portrayed the role of Reese Buckingham in The Bold and the Beautiful. The star’s daughter, Maile also appeared as Tiffany in B&B. However, the couple got divorced on good terms and even spent quarantine together.

Wayne Brady reveals that he will co-parent the son of his ex-wife

Mandie Taketa and her boyfriend Jason Fordham adopted a baby boy, Sunny. Mandie made this announcement through her Instagram post where she thanked the birth mom Ana and Sundance-Isamu for the blessing. She wrote, “Thank you for blessing Jason with the gift of fatherhood, making Maile a big sister, & Wayne a godfather. He’s going to spoil Sunny like crazy! Huge mahalo to our social media family for the most loving energy in the world. Our hearts are overflowing with love & gratitude.” Also, Wayne Brady will help the couple in co-parenting the child. And he expects the child to call him Duncle (daddy/uncle).  

Brady mentions in a video that co-parenting is messy as it’s not perfect. He says that sometimes it’s easier because they don’t have to live with each other. But, he defines this type of relationship as love. Brady said, “ sticking it out because you love each other and you want to pass that on to your little one….or not so little one.”
