Ashland’s heroicly saves Victoria from burning car | Will this be his redemption?
After teasing a bad omen for Victoria for days, Y&R finally aired in its recent episode how Vikki ended up crashing her car into a tree and becoming unconscious. Thankfully, her husband Ashland, who happened to be following her, saves her from further casualty. Victoria is suspicious of Ash at first but what she learns next has her jump out of her skin. Why? Let’s find out.
Ashland and Victoria lands in a 3-car accident
Last week’s Y&R promo showed how Nikki and Victor freak out at Society after their call with Victoria drops unexpectedly. The teaser showed Vicky on speakerphone with her mom while she was driving through some dark place. It’s only a matter of seconds before she crashes her car onto some unknown thing.
As seen in a recent episode, it was a tree that Vicky crashed onto. Shockingly, it’s not just her who crashed their cars. There are two more cars involved in the accident. And Ashland is one of three people behind the wheel during the accident. Apparently, he is the first to wake up and he is also the first to find out that someone has died.
When Ashland regains his consciousness, he finds that he’s been trapped in his car as a tree is wedged against his door. Somehow he manages to get out of the car and notices that Vicky is not moving behind the wheel while her car is on fire.
He quickly rushes to check on her and is relieved to know that she is still alive. Then using some force, he opens the car’s door and lifts her out from there. He burns his hands in the process but he does not stop until he reaches a cabin where he safely lays Vicky on a bed. He also manages to wake her up. But unbeknown to what just happened, Vicky tells him to stay away from her.

Ashland reveals to Victoria that someone she knows has died in the accident
Ashland explains about their accident and tells that he can’t call for help as his phone has been destroyed. When he leaves the place to check for her phone, she can’t help but wonder if Ash is behind all of this. So when he returns to say that her phone has also been destroyed, Vicky asks him how he of all people rescued her.
Ash is taken aback by the accusations but he calmly explains why he and not others found her in her car. He tells her that he had been following her because he was worried something bad could happen as she drove away in distress. He tells her he had hurt her enough and couldn’t handle the thought of anything else hurting her again.
Vicky does not know if she should trust him but she senses something is just not right. She demands to know the truth but Ash continues to beg her not to tax herself. She tries to recall what might have happened and remembers that lights were coming at her from the front. She then realizes that there was another car involved in the accident since Ash was behind her.
Ash confirms she is right and explains how she hit the tree while trying to avoid the oncoming car which ended up pushing him off the road. Vicky notices the burns on his hands and realizes he actually risked his life to save her. She once again remembers the other driver involved in the accident and insists to know what happened to that person. That’s when she gets the shocker that the other driver was dead and it was none other than Rey who had died.
The news rocks Vicky’s world and it’s sure to take a toll on her for a long time. Meanwhile, the fact that she just got back from a near-death experience and that it wouldn’t have been possible without Ash also leaves an impact on her. Now, will she be able to forgive Ash for his past misdeeds? We bet the Astoria love story has more to explore on Y&R in the coming days. So make sure to keep tuning in to our channel for more updates.
