Sheila Carter is alive but who did Steffy Forrester Kill that night?
Fans come to defend Sharon after Y&R wrongs her in a recent episode!
Fans of The Young and the Restless are seriously ticked off about how the writers are treating Sharon Collins (Sharon Case) on the show lately. It feels like they are totally ghosting Sharon’s epic history and leaving some big plot holes in her story. How do you think the show creators will undo their blunder with Sharon’s storyline on Y&R ahead? Stick around to find out.
Y&R just rehashed Sharon’s storyline and then forgot about her completely
For the 50th year of Young and the Restless, the show has been taking a stroll down memory lane with Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Claire’s (Hayley Erin)storyline. They went all nostalgic with the Jordan and Claire saga, opening the secrets from decades ago.
Turns out, Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) supposedly dead baby who was named Eve, was in fact alive and kicking around, but with revenge running through her blood. Claire, Nikki’s new assistant, revealed that she was actually Baby Eve, raised by her wicked great aunt Jordan.
Jordan had actually brainwashed Claire into thinking the Newmans had tossed her aside. Things took a dark turn when they tried to kill all the Newman, including Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victor (Eric Braeden) at the lake house, but in a twist, Claire discovered the truth and decided to team up with her birth mother. Soon, they ran a DNA test which confirmed she was indeed Victoria and Cole’s (J. Eddie Peck) biological daughter.

Victoria’s maternal instincts had actually kicked in long before the test results, but the result left her in a lot of emotions and uncertainty because she wasn’t sure how to move forward with the information. Then comes the latest episode in Y&R when Nick comes to Crimson Lights because what better place to pour your heart out and get advice than Sharon’s coffee shop, right?
Sharon happens to be there as she was taking a breather from her new corporate responsibilities. So, Nick, the messenger of family drama, sat with Sharon and decided to fill her in on everything that happened, including the fact about Victoria’s newfound daughter.
Victoria faces heartbreak as she fails to connect with daughter Eve (Claire)
And that was the part which had the fans raising eyebrows and getting mad at the show. When Nick told Sharon about Claire, her response was along the lines of “I can’t imagine what Victoria is going through.” Like what even!! Sharon, who had her own long-lost twin daughter pop up out of the blue, attempting to gaslight her, sending her on a rollercoaster of forgiveness and bonding with Mariah (Camryn Grimes), suddenly can’t relate to Victoria’s situation? It had the fans riled up with anger.
Victoria’s story was literally once Sharon’s history. Both Claire and Mariah grew up under the influence of brainwashing, wreaking havoc as a result. Sharon and Victoria found themselves face to face with a grown child who resented them, yet Sharon played the amnesia card on her own past. While this storyline was all about diving into the past. But they casually missed out this crucial part and fans were quick to call them out on X.

THE SHOW’S HISTORY IS IMPORTANT.Sharon’s speech ” I can’t remember ” made me super angry. #Shick

One of the viewers wrote, “THE SHOW’S HISTORY IS IMPORTANT. Sharon’s speech “I can’t remember ” made me super angry.” She also posted a picture of Mariah and Ian Ward who brainwashed her. If you think about it, Mariah and Ian ward’s storyline is the mirror of Claire and Jordan’s.
But this isn’t the only thing that has the fans agitated. Y&R has been teasing a love triangle involving Sharon, Chance (Conner Floyd), and Summer (Allison Lanier) for some time now, but instead of giving us the full show, it’s strangely playing out mostly off screen. We’ve had our fair share of Summer daydreaming about Chance, but the real action between Sharon and Chance? Not so much. With a big episode centered around Sharon looming, you’d expect the love triangle drama to hit its peak, especially around New Year’s. But nope, Sharon and Chance were MIA together. It’s starting to make us question, are they even a couple?
Maybe the show is doing this deliberately to show more chemistry between Chance and Summer and downplaying Sharon and Chance for the build up. But not everyone is on board. One fan took to X to vent and wrote, “Things like not having Sharon and Chance not seen together for New Year’s just continues to reinforce how stupid this whole Sharon/Chance/ Summer thing even is. Got y’all out here fighting over air.”
Seriously though, how are we supposed to be hooked on a wishy-washy storyline or love triangle when the real action is happening off-camera? What do you guys think about the current Sharon situation on Young and the Restless? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
