Y&R faves share their high and low points of 2023!
Kicking off the first month of 2024, people are out here counting their blessings and reminiscing about the rollercoaster that was 2023 and our Y&R stars are no exception. They recently just opened up about their highs and lows of 2023, so, let’s dive in and check out their regrets and favorite moments from this past year right away!
Number 1. Conner Floyd
Starting with Conner Floyd aka Chance, had a major highlight in 2023, and guess what it was? A trip to Italy! And he was not alone, he went there with his beautiful girlfriend Carly Frei. In summer 2023, he took a much needed break from shoots and everything and went for a relaxing and romantic trip to italy.
The couple explored Rome and the Pantheon, hitting up some stunning spots. And oh boy, things got romantic on a boat at the Amalfi Coast with a little kiss action – not to mention a peek at his impressive abs. But, hold up, we can’t ignore the stylish selfie moment with matching sunglasses that we absolutely adored. This trip was unforgettable for Floyd which explained why this was his high of 2023. He said, “The high for me was traveling to Italy. It was my first time in Europe. It was very eye-opening and just absolutely lovely.” And his beautiful girlfriend has to be cherry on top.
But now coming to his low for 2023, in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Floyd said, “Low has to be the [actors’] strike. Fortunately, we were able to shoot through all the chaos but seeing the industry and fellow artists, friends and hard-working people take a hit like that was tough. Glad we are back on track now.” It feels like almost half the year of 2023 was filled with strikes. Which started out to be a WGA strike demanding for higher pay and a stable pay structure, as well as fairer deals and contracts and provisions about artificial intelligence, the actor or SAG AFTRA, which represents actors, also joined the front line from July. It was a whole chaos after any shows were going dark but thankfully it all came to an end after 5 months in November.
Number 2. Zuleyka Silver
Another star of Young and the Restless who revealed their highs and lows was Zuleyka Silver who plays the role of Audra Charles. For Silver, her high point, as she said to Soap Opera Digest, was getting to work on Y&R.
Silver first joined the cast of Y&R back in September 2022 and as 2023 marked her 1st year anniversary on the show, she feels more than happy. She even took to her Instagram to express her joy of celebrating her 1st year on the show by posting her audition tape for the role. And she even attended her first ever Daytime Emmy Awards. Talking about getting to be a part of Y&R she said, “ I’ve learned and grown so much as an actor this year.”
And when it comes to her regret for 2023, she said, “ Not going to Beyoncé’s concert was definitely a low point.” On that we all agree for sure. Missing the iconic Queen B’s concert, “Renaissance 2023 world tour” that too in Inglewood which is so close to her place, was definitely a bummer, but maybe next time she won’t miss out on her.
Number 3. Courtney Hope

Lastly, like our favorite, Courtney Hope aka Sally always does, did a little reflection of the year 2023. Hope took a trip down memory lane and dropped a video on her Instagram, looking back at her 2023 journey and wrote, “My heart is so full. I hope y’all made some memories too And thank you all for being a part of it “.
Now, this video was packed with shots of herself, hanging with friends, castmates, and her adorable fur-babies. There’s even a little Genoa City drama there when Sally lost the baby scene, a splash at a waterpark, gym sessions, her pops’ 80th bash, Christmas vibes, a toy drive, some dance moves, karaoke, amazing views– you name it! From the looks of the video, she had one crazy and fun year.
Many fans also hopped in the comments showing love for sharing the ride with her. A fan also wrote, “’I’m so glad to have been a part of your year, virtually! Sending ALL the vibes for a great day today, and let’s have an awesome 2024!”
