Janice got married to Fred Scrutchfield in 1967. The couple separated in 1970. She currently does not have a husband and has remained unmarried for years.

Apart from her work on The Young and the Restless, Janice has worked on other popular soap operas. In 1979, she joined the cast of Another World where she played Tracy Dewitt. After leaving Another World in 1981, she was cast as Laurel Chapin Wolek in One Life To Live. She left the show in 1986.

She made an appearance as a panelist on 5 daytime episodes of the game show Tattletales in 1975 with her Young and the Restless co-star William Gray Espy. In 1976, she appeared on a few episodes of another game show Match Game. She had a notable role in an episode of Quinn Martin’s Tales of the Unexpected entitled A Hand for Sonny Blue.

She has appeared in a few movies, starting with Beyond Evil which was released in 1980. She played the role of Alma Martin.
