Melissa and Matt are pregnant with another baby boy
Married since 2014, Melissa and Matt became parents for the first time in August 2021 with the birth of their son, Caden Robert Katrosar. As per Melissa, her family is going to have another August baby this year.
“Looks like we’re just destined to have August babies!” Egan wrote in the caption, uploading an adorable picture of her with her little boy, on her Instagram handle.
Apparently, her upcoming baby is also going to be a boy. The mother-to-be says they are so grateful and excited to be adding another cub to their family of “Leo baby boys.”

Caden’s going to be a big brother in exactly two years! It’s just a crazy prediction, but still, what are the odds that the siblings end up sharing the exact same birthday? Well, we don’t know how Caden would feel about sharing a birthday with his brother. But he is definitely over the moon waiting for his little sibling. Is Melissa Claire Egan leaving The Young and the Restless?
Friends, fans, and co-stars started offering congratulations and best wishes to Egan almost immediately after she broke the news on the internet.
Susan Walters, Lauralee Bell, Jordi Vilasuso, Melissa Ordway, Tracey E, Bregman, Christel Khalil, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Courtney Hope, Sofia Pernas, and many more sent good wishes to the amazing mother-to-be. Meanwhile, Greg Rikaart’s message was hard to miss.
“I really wanted to be the one to break the news,” Rikaart jokingly wrote, “but hugely excited for you all regardless.”
Will Melissa’s real-life pregnancy be written in on Y&R? Chances are low but not impossible. Chelsea’s already a mother of two boys on the show. And Y&R has been teasing Billy-Chelsea’s potential pairing as well. If the pair commits to a serious relationship, there may be a new Abbott child on the way. But we know Chelsea has gone through so much already. So if she thinks she is not ready for a new relationship with Billy, she may just up and leave Genoa City.
The last time Egan was pregnant in real life, her character was confined to a wheelchair for several months before she was sent to Louisiana to take care of her ailing mother, Anita Lawson.
