In August, we broke the big news that Jason Canela and his wife, Janaina Reis, were expecting their first child, followed by their lavish gender reveal party a few months ago. And now, they’ve finally given us even more reasons to rejoice. Janaina has given birth! The new parents posted about the birth of their baby on their Instagram accounts.

Former cast member of The Young and the Restless Jason Canela and his wife, Janaina Reis, welcomed their first child on February 10th, a girl named Jovie Rose Canela. Earlier on November 12, Janaina posted a video from her big gender reveal ceremony to Instagram with the caption, “This is what the ultimate surprise looks like.” She claimed that although the couple was certain they would bring a boy into the world, God had different plans for them.

Posting a few photos after the birth, Jason expressed his joy and shared that his feeling is indescribable. He thanked Janaina for being so strong. Witnessing her give birth to Jovie Rose exactly as they had hoped was nothing short of a miracle for the Y&R star.
He continued, “Thank you to all of our friends and family that have showered us with so much love these last 9 months. I can’t wait to just be there for every single moment of my baby girl’s life, thank you God for it all!”

On her personal Instagram, Janaina also posted a short, adorable video of Jovie and a carousel of images showing her parents and other family members welcoming the new baby. The parents were successful in having an unmedicated, natural delivery, which was precisely what they had hoped for. “Words just cannot capture the feeling,” Janaina said of their tiny miracle.

“We fell in love with her the moment we knew she was inside me and although this sounds cliche, our love has only multiplied with every single second that passes since 2:56 p.m. on that day.” she said.
The delighted mother said, “To all the super mommas out there, I just want to say, we got this! She added that Jason and her are anticipating it all and pledged to be there for their darling baby daughter at every turn. They’re grateful to every one of their friends and family who have prayed for them and sent good energies over the past nine months.
We congratulate the new parents and wish them luck in their future endeavors. We can’t wait to see more pictures of their adorable baby girl!
