Brytni Sarpy has finally opened up about what she thinks of her recent storyline where she got cheated on. She said she was surprised at first, but not with the cheating stuff. but with who Nate (Sean Dominic) did it with. Plus, Elena has got a new plan in her life. The Young and the Restless star, Brytni Sarpy is the woman behind bringing the character, Elena Dawson, to life. She joined the show in 2019, and from the moment she appeared on the screen, she is one of our faves. Brytni is excellent when it comes to portraying her character in the best way possible. even if it’s a good girl role or a bad one. And with her recent storyline, she just showed us how to move on like a pro.

Nate cheated on Elena and it was a very bad one. She was gaslighted and manipulated into thinking Nate was working hard, staying up in his office till late at night, when in fact he was hooking up with Victoria all along.

The fans were definitely shocked at how Nate could do that to Elena, after all that they went through. but you know who wasn’t? Brytni. Brytni wasn’t surprised at all, when she first heard Nate was going to cheat on her alter ego on Y & R. But she was surprised with the woman he cheated on her with.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Brytni opened up about her reaction after reading the script. She said, “I thought that was a little shocking. At first, I thought maybe Nate would have a thing with Audra, so I wasn’t anticipating Victoria. I think it makes sense now because it showed just how far Nate is willing to go for his game, but yeah, that was surprising.”

After Elena busted Nate and Victoria in Los Angeles, thanks to Audra’s nosiness, she had a blast giving her ex a piece of her mind, when she spotted them cozying up again in Genoa City. We really felt for Elena at that time, and so did Sarpy, “Nate and Victoria were canoodling in public, which is so tacky and pitiful to her, and Elena took it upon herself to let them know what she thought of them. It was cathartic for her because she felt like she got all of the drama out of the way,” she said.

Sarpy also made it clear that Elena is totally over Nate, and that there’s zero chance of them patching things up. So you heard it guys, she is moving on.

Elena isn’t in any rush to jump into another relationship, that’s a big no for her right now. Instead, she’s taking her sweet time to rediscover herself, and set her priorities straight. Her main focus has been on her career, which is the most important thing for her and being a pillar of support for her friends during their difficult moments.

Whether it’s offering a shoulder to Adam and Sally, as they cope with their baby’s loss, or being there for Mariah and Tessa as they deal with baby Aria’s hearing challenges, Elena is committed to being the dependable friend everyone can count on. And we are totally here for that.

Brytni understands why Elena might have become a bit more guarded and colder towards the idea of love, especially considering how things went down with Devon and Nate. We all know how that went. She said, “I just hope that it changes the emphasis of what she really cares about right now, and that’s medicine.”

Going through those two intense relationships one after the other, with all the pain and heartache they brought, has understandably soured her on romance. So, She believes it’s a good time for Elena to take a much- needed break from all that relationship drama, and focus on herself.
