Sasha Calle returning to Y&R after The Flash’s poor reviews
Supergirl is coming to GC? Oh no, we mean Sasha Calle, who played Lola Rosales, might be headed back to town for a visit. But will she really come back after doing such a big project with DC? Let’s find out right away.
What happened to Lola Rosales on Young and the Restless?
Sasha Calle became quite the familiar face among fans of The Young and the Restless, all thanks to her portrayal of Lola Rosales starting in 2018. Lola, who came onto the scene as Arturo Rosales’ sister, who opened up her pop up restaurant in the streets near Crimson Lights, where her journey took an interesting turn as she crossed paths with the charming Kyle Abbott.
Their connection, despite the differences in their backgrounds, formed a central plotline. Lola, a talented chef, and Kyle, the wealthy playboy, made quite the pair.
However, Lola’s view on Kyle’s wealthy lifestyle led to some real ups and downs, to the point that she even returned a lavish designer bag that Kyle gave her, thinking that he was trying to win her over with flashy gifts.
Lola Rosales left GC after losing Kyle to Summer
Adding a dash of spice to the mix was Summer, Kyle’s then and now former flame, who found herself overrun by jealousy over Kyle’s romantic relationship with Lola. Summer even tried to make it look like Kyle was cheating on Lola with her but, even that didn’t stop Lola from staying true to herself and her feelings.
Like even when she needed a liver transplant, Summer turned out to be the only compatible donor and she made sure she used that as an advantage and Kyle made a tough choice, marrying Summer to secure the transplant that could save Lola’s life.
When Lola emerged from her coma, everything had changed. But an encounter with Kyle, while he was still married to Summer, once again started their undeniable chemistry and got married. However, Kyle’s feelings for Summer ultimately led to the end of his marriage with Lola, leaving her heartbroken.
Then she decided to leave GC and start fresh in Florida. And that’s the last time we saw her in Y&R. But that end was a start of something new. She got casted as Supergirl in DC’s “The Flash”. To make it even better she is the first Latina to play Supergirl and made her first feature film debut on the big screens on June 16.

But sadly this movie has become the ultimate box office failure in the superhero genre. While The Flash has made $101 million domestically, it has garnered only $146 million from international territories. This puts its worldwide earnings at less than $250 million. This film struggled to generate a substantial profit for Warners Bro. And with the recent Y&R spoilers, it looks like Sasha might be making her way back to GC.
According to the spoilers, Lola got a shoutout in the recent episode. So Kyle, who’s got a lot to say these days, spilled some not-so-nice words about his soon-to-be-ex, Summer. He’s got this whole idea that she’s still the same schemer who strong-armed him into marrying her to save Lola’s life. But Nick says the opposite. Sure, she’s had some oopsie moments, but who hasn’t?
Anyways, Summer’s doing some soul-searching and regretting her tangled web with her mom’s crazy antics. So, where’s this all going? Well, Kyle and Summer are headed for the D-word: Divorce. And that’s got everyone thinking about the future.

Some fans are all heart eyes over Summer and Chance. And then there’s Kyle, the guy in the middle of all this mess. He’s got Audra Charles in his life, but let’s be real, she’s not exactly a poster child for selflessness. If it helps her, she’ll totally toss Kyle under the bus without a second thought. So, yeah, their love story’s looking kinda doomed.
But hold up, after that Lola mention, there’s some buzz about her making a comeback. Could she swoop into Genoa City for round two with Kyle? He’s got her on his mind, you see. Maybe he’s thinking he should’ve picked Lola over Summer way back when. Regret’s a powerful thing.
Could this lead to some Lola action in the city? But there is a high chance that Sasha may not return as Lola. We could see someone else as Sasha is moving on with her career. But even if they have to switch up the actor, it could be a fun twist to see her back and watch Kyle try to win her back. But both Summer and Lola deserve better than the Kyle drama. Seriously, the guy needs to do some self-discovery. But you know how soapy things go, he might just bounce from Audra to Lola if he gets the chance.
