She would soon make her big-screen acting debut in The Flash, becoming the first Latina to play the role of Supergirl. As soon as the trailer was released this week, she shared a post on Instagram, bursting with excitement. Her Y & R brother, Jason Canela, wasted no time in congratulating her. Sasha Calle’s first teaser as Supergirl is finally out
Sasha Calle was over the moon as she shared the news of the official teaser for The Flash, which dropped during the Super Bowl. As soon as the movie’s teaser debuted, the actress shared a post on her Instagram handle and wrote, “It’s so beautiful and exciting to finally share this with you all. I have fallen deeply in love with Supergirl. Getting to know her and feel her has been one of my greatest honors. This moment is so, so special. I love you all.”

Sasha further said that if there’s anything Supergirl has taught her, it’s hope. She says that anything is possible. And also advised to never listen to anyone who suggests differently.
Her fans along with her co-stars commented and congratulated her in the comment section. Her Y&R brother, Jason Canela commented, “I have goosebumps all over my freaking body 😭✨ so proud of you!” Along with her proud brother, other former castmates: Melissa Ordway, Cait Fairbanks, and Brytni Sarpy also congratulated her with a series of clap emojis.
Followed by this, she shared another post on her Instagram and wrote, “I love you, Supergirl. Go get ‘em! ”
Additionally, she tweeted that she gave her heart and soul into Supergirl and that it was so amazing to finally share a small part of her with fans. The DC character was described as very special and strong by Sasha in her tweet. She added that getting to know her and experiencing her has been one of the greatest honors.

When will Sasha’s debut movie hit the cinemas?
In The Flash, she’s playing Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Superman, being the first Latina actress to do so. Alternatively, you may know her as Supergirl. Sasha learned she had been chosen for the part on a video conference call with director Andy Muschietti among more than 400 actresses who auditioned for it. After the project was greenlit, there were production delays due to the pandemic and countless controversies from Ezra Miller, who plays The Flash. But we’re glad that they’re going ahead with the movie and congratulate and wish Sasha good luck with the upcoming film.
