Tara Locke could just be the trump card that Victor needs to defeat Ashland Locke

Ashland Locke has been scheming ever since he arrived in Genoa City. From lying about his identity to faking cancer, the Locke Ness Monster has played game after game to get the throne at Newman Enterprises. Unfortunately, things have gone a bit different than he had planned as the Newmans have found out about his lies. But that does not stop him from continuing his plottings. Spoilers have been indicating that Ashland isn’t going down without a fight, which means Victor will have to come up with some strong plan to take him down.

Tara Locke was treated unfairly by GC residents

Ash came to GC as a married man with a son but things drastically changed for him in the new town. He found out that the kid he had been raising as his own was actually Kyle Abbott’s son which led to him divorcing Tara (last played by Elizabeth Leiner).

Ash found a new love pretty conveniently in the new town. However, Tara had to pay a big cost while pursuing her baby daddy Kyle. For messing up her daughter’s life, Phyllis took sweet revenge on Tara by revealing all the incriminating acts she had done in New York. Now it has been months since Tara’s serving her sentence.

If we compare Tara and Ash’s shenanigans, we’ll see that both of them are cons. In fact, Ash has committed bigger crimes than Tara. But he is living free as a bird while Tara’s been facing the punishments.

Will Victor free Tara from prison?

Victor and Nikki had no idea who their dear daughter was marrying when they approved of her and Ashland’s wedding. Of course, Nick vehemently opposed but he could not stop the grand Italian wedding. Now, although, Victor knows why Nick was against this marriage, he is short of ways to keep his son-in-law out of the conglomerate he created.

So is this the end of the Newmans? We assume that it’s still too early to come to a conclusion because we must not forget Victor still has a trump card that can turn this game upside down.

Wild speculation is that Victor will somehow manage to get Tara Locke out of prison, maybe for good behavior, then ask for her favor in return. Just what will the favor be? To simply spill every deep secret she knows about her ex-husband.

We know plenty of dirty secrets from Ash’s past has already come to light. There could be a lot more that we still don’t know which Tara, being his ex-wife, may know. She might just be the key that Victor needs to open Ash’s box of lies.

But could Tara really be interested in helping the Newmans?

So far, Ash has always been a step ahead of Victor in their war. So another speculation is that Tara could be a part of Locke’s elaborate scheme. Considering how convenient it was for Ash to get close to Vikki, it looks like his and Tara’s divorce was pre-planned. So Phyllis discovering Tara’s embezzlement and her ending up in prison could all be a part of their scheme.
