Rey’s ex-wife Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) lands a fun new movie | Will she ever return to Y&R?
It’s been quite a long time since Noemi Gonzalez was seen playing the role of Mia Rosales on Young and the Restless. The Californian actress made her debut on the CBS daytime show in November 2018 and exited in May 2019, after appearing in about 30 episodes.
Last year, she appeared in a hit Netflix series, a biographical drama called Selena: The Series. This year, she has landed another fun project, which she is crazy-excited to share with her fans. What’s her new project about? When is it slated to release? Here’s everything you need to know.
Noemi Gonzalez’s life after exiting The Young and the Restless in 2019
Noemi, along with Jason Canela, exited Young and the Restless after a crazy plot twist in their storyline. Their alter-egos Mia and Arturo were caught in a forbidden romance. As a result, Mia got pregnant while she was still married to Arturo’s elder brother Rey Rosales. They eventually moved to Miami, their hometown, to raise their baby.
Arturo returned to GC once in late 2019 to attend his sister Lola and Kyle Abbott’s wedding but Mia has never returned. It’s because Noemi has been busy with other acting projects ever since she left the CBS soap.
Around the same time she left Y&R, she booked a role in Selena: The Series. In the biographical series, Noemi portrayed Suzette Quintanilla, the sister and best friend of the late Selena Quintanilla.
Noemi Gonzalez announced her new movie on Instagram
Most recently, Noemi announced on Instagram that she has landed a new movie role. Her new movie is called The Valet. In the movie, she will be playing the role of Clara, the sister of Antonio (played by Eugenio Derbez) and the wife of Benny (Amaury Nolasco). The movie is slated to drop on Hulu for the American audience, on Star+ for the Mexican audience, and on Disney+ for the international audience on May 20, 2022.

The news of Noemi landing a new movie is surely delightful. But unfortunately, this news broke on the heels of a shocking Y&R event. Recently, actor Jordi Vilasuso, who played the role of Noemi’s on-screen husband was fired from the Young and the Restless.
Jordi has been working with Y&R for the past four years and was to celebrate his fourth anniversary at the soap in August this year. Sadly, he has been let go from the show before he reached the milestone.
We are yet to learn when and how Rey Rosales will bid farewell to Genoa City and its residents. However he departs, we assume that he will move to Miami where his other family members are currently residing. And although nothing can be confirmed yet, it’s safe to declare that Rey’s departure has ended the possibility of the return of Noemi, Jason, Lola, or Celeste to Y&R again.
