Chapel Peace Schmucker except that she’s from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. On Return to Amish, Chapel is the only non-Amish or “English” character. Chapel is related to the Schmucker family through her marriage to Andrew Schmucker. In December 2016, Chapel revealed to her fans on Facebook that she and Andrew would not be returning to the show.

Why did Chapel Peace Schmucker leave Return To Amish? Was it due to some issues related to her health? According to a TMZ report back in 2016, Chapel was arrested for “possession with intent to distribute and for having paraphernalia”. Before that, Chapel and her sister were arrested for trying to use someone else’s urine for a drug test. She was also arrested for possession of heroin and Valium.

Although Chapel revealed that she had cancer on the show, people believe that her cancer diagnosis was used to cover up her drug addiction. Some fans think that Chapel never had cancer, and the show used a fake diagnosis to create a storyline. Kate Stoltz, her co-star on the show, said that Chapel “was not doing chemo” when the show was being filmed and that she had the cast members thought she was very sick. 

Chapel got out of prison in December 2016. In 2019, Chapel went on Facebook to reveal that she was three years sober. She said she had left Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to “start a new life”  and “maintain sobriety”. The post has since been deleted.

will Chapel return to Return To Amish? Chapel previously said that she and her husband Andrew would not be returning to the show. She has been out of the public eye for years and doesn’t look like she’ll be back on the show anytime soon. We do not know what Chapel is doing right now. The cast of Return To Amish has been quite busy since the wrapping of the show’s sixth season. Is Return To Amish coming back for a seventh season? Return To Amish wrapped its sixth season in June of 2021. As of today, TLC has not announced the return of the show. But the show hasn’t been canceled either, so fans might have to wait until an official announcement is made by the show or the network.
