The American actress, Krista Tesreau best known for her role in the CBS Guiding Light was born on January 10, 1964. The actress was born in St. Louis, Missouri. The actress has attended the University of Missouri and loves to play piano too. She started to play piano at the age of two. 

She was married to Robert Mione in 1991. Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t work out, and they got divorced a year after marriage. Later, she got married to Glenn Strauss on July 24, 2004. A year later, Krista gave birth to her first child, Michael Paul Strauss. In 2008, Michael Paul Strauss got a baby sister as Krista gave birth to her second child. The couple is now married for 18 years. 

At the age of 14, she was placed in the top ten in the nationwide Liberace Music Competition. She was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Ingenue for her role as Mindy. She received a Soap Opera Digest Award in 1988 too. Krista’s success has led her to work in various top companies including Modern Media, Proctor and Gamble, Script to Screen, Hawthorne Direct, and Icon. She was the host of infomercials for “Bare Essentials” makeup in 2005 and for “Nature’s Finest Candles” in 2007. She has hosted an infomercial alongside John Abdo for John’s “Belly Buddy” fitness system. The versatile and talented actress was also given the title of Miss teen in 1981.

Tesreau portrayed the role of Melinda “Mindy” Lewis in the soap opera Guiding light for six years. She originated the role of Mindy in 1983 and vacated the role in 1989. However, she reappeared on the show in 2002, 2004, and again on March 6, 2009. Mindy is best known for her relationships with Kyle Sampson and Kurt Corday. 

 She is also known for her role in Santa Barbara, One Life to Live, and Quantum Leap. Mindy has appeared in movies like Laws of Deception, Ringmaster, and Silk Stalkings. 

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Krista expresses that Mindy was an entertaining character and was generally a good troublemaker. She mentioned that had such pleasant memories of those years. She continues, “I didn’t even grasp how successful and how widely known The Four Musketeers were at the time. We had a great time. Going to work didn’t feel at all like work. I have to offer the writers so much praise.”
