Y&R Star Bryton James’ Dating History

After the tragic death of his wife, and his failed relationship with Elena, Devon Hamilton found love once again in Genoa City with Abby Newman. But the actor behind Devon, has also found his special someone too. Since 2004, fans have seen Devon’s many ups and downs on the Young and the Restless. But how many of you know about the real life relationships of the man behind the character? 

Bryton James is  best known for his role of Devon Hamilton on the Young and the Restless. The actor has won a Daytime Emmy for his performance and has been nominated for several other awards.  But you may have noticed that James shared an amazing chemistry with his on-screen partner, Brytni Sarpy, who plays Elena when they were together. Well that’s because off screen,  these two have been dating in real life for a while now. 

James and Sarpy began dating in May 2019 shortly after Sarpy joined Y&R. The bond between them was obvious since the day they first screen-tested together. Even before they went public with their relationship, they didn’t hold back in dishing out compliments about the other. In an interview with Soaps in Depth, James said that he couldn’t feel any luckier to have Brytni as his castmate, while Sarpy declared that Bryton is one of the best men that she has met in her life.

But James, obviously, has had a couple of other public relationships in the past too. He dated singer Sterling Victorian from 2015 to 2019. He actually met his ex-girlfriend years ago before they began dating through his onscreen sister and real life best friend Christel Khalil. 

Prior to this, the actor was in a relationship with Ashley Leisinger. The two were actually married and their wedding was officiated by his Y&R co-star Christian LeBlanc.  But that ended in divorce in 2014 after three years of marriage but remained good friends.

Now, James and Sarpy are a happy couple, being together for 4 years and many more to come!
