Can you believe it has been 10 years since we have been seeing Melissa Ordway as Abby Newman? But it has been even more amazing having her, we wouldn’t want anyone else. So, let’s all congratulate Ordway as she celebrates her 10 years at The Young and the Restless. Let’s get into it right away.

Melissa Ordway joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Abby Newman in 2013, and since then we have been seeing her grow as an actor, as well as a person. Before she came on the show, there were many who played the role. Darcy Rose Byrnes played Abby as a child until 2008, when Hayley Erin played Abby as a teenager. Later in 2010, Emme Rylan played the part as an adult until she moved on to the role of Lulu in General Hospital. Then came our very own Melissa Ordway who debuted on April 16, 2013.
10 years is a very long time, and of course, it has to be celebrated. So Melissa took it to Instagram to express her gratitude and her love for this role. She shared a clip of her years on Y&R that is just heartwarming. All those moments that we all remember are as precious to us as it is to her. She wrote, “Thank you!” “Today marks 10 years of Y&R bliss,” the actress enthused on Instagram as she shared a video montage of memories from those 10 years, set to “Live Your Beautiful Life” by Lights Follow.

She also looked back on her own times on the set and says, “Abby has been in several catfights, married, engaged, started her own successful business, been very unlucky in love, become a mother, and grown up so much! So have I. Thankfully, more lucky in the love department (thanks, Justin Gaston (ex-Chance)). I’ve had two babies, raised them in the CBS halls, remarried my own husband on TV, had lots of fun, and now have co-workers who are like my family.”
We all remember Justin, right? After all, it’s not every day you get to fall in love and marry your own husband once again on TV. She also has some funny BTS in the clip as well. Something you wouldn’t want to miss.
