Here’s why Sally will never get back with Adam! Y&R Spoilers

Adam Newman and Sally Spectra have had a long history with each other. Over the past few years, they have had an on-and-off kind of relationship and we don’t know how to feel about it. So today, we look at their relationship timeline from the very start till now. Let’s take a trip down memory lane with our favorite couple who are soon-to-be parents.

Complicated Love: Adam and Sally’s Relationship on Y&R

Adam and Sally have a very complicated relationship right now. She is pregnant with Adam’s baby but is in a relationship with Nick, his brother. While characters are confused along with us, off-screen the actor who plays Adam, Mark Grossman, and Sally actress Courtney Hope are just in love with each other. Although we don’t know the exact date, they started dating each other last year around Halloween and they have been smitten with each other. Now let’s start with Adam and Sally first.

After Sally’s romance with Jack came to an end, she went towards Adam. They both connected instantly and could relate to each other as they both were outcasts. But Adam was all business at this point. And when Victor warned him against getting involved with Sally after she was hired in the Newman Fashion division, he couldn’t help but go against it. In fact, he showed up at the Newman Media launch party with none other than Sally Spectra. At that time, the whole town was against Sally, especially Phyllis, after she tried to separate Summer and Kyle. There were some clashes which led to Sally throwing her drink at Phyllis, and Phyllis in return dumped a whole bucket of ice water over her head. At that moment, came the knight in shining armor – Adam rescued Sally and took her to a suite room to dry off where Sally thanked him with a deep and passionate kiss. And their story starts.

After their kiss, Adam wanted to keep things professional between them. Of course, Sally agreed and respected that but she couldn’t help but think about him. She was always hovering around him. He finally let her come to Italy with him as she came up with the plan to put Newman Fashion in the spotlight by swapping Victoria’s wedding dress from Fenmore’s with one of her own designs.

A Steamy Affair: Sally and Adam’s Secret Office Romance

Love was in the air in Tuscany and they were bound to get a catch of it. When Sally was bombarded with questions as to why she was there, Adam snooped in and said she was his plus one. I bet we all screamed at that scene, right? Let’s not forget how he told her she looked beautiful before the event. And when Victoria appeared in Sally’s dress, it was a success for Adam and Sally, and their chemistry was off the charts. 

They again shared a passionate kiss back in their Tuscan Villa, and while we all thought they were about to do it, Adam tells Sally that he didn’t wanna risk a one-night stand with her. So they again went into their professional mode and just enjoyed their good time. She even proved him her loyalty by getting dirt on Billy. When they were back in Genoa City, Chloe and Chelsea weren’t happy about their situationship. So they planned to kick her off in New York. Sally made a bold move to ask him to come with her, but Adam couldn’t free up his time.

Another problem for Sally came to light. When Victoria took over Newman Enterprises, she didn’t want to keep Newman Fashion. Chloe and Chelsea took it as an opportunity and made a deal with Lauren and dumped Sally. To everyone’s surprise, Adam offered her a real job at Newman Media and made her his right-hand woman. After their long and hard try to resist each other, they finally gave in. Sally and Adam finally had sex and that too all over their office. And finally, after taking a look into each other’s eyes, they started their relationship on Valentine’s Day.

Sally’s tough choice: Nick or Adam?

Love was all around, they were having the time of their life, all day all night. So, it was about time to make it public, at least to Victor and Chelsea. It went well and Sally made sure Chelsea knew exactly when it started. Everything was going smoothly, especially work, as they made a very productive team. She had his back and so did he. So when Adam had to take the CEO role at Newman-Locke, Sally held down the fort at Newman Media for him.

Finally, the L word came into the picture. When Sally confessed to him that she was falling in love with him, he told her right back. But it came slowly crashing down. When he was ousted by Victoria’s return to Newman Enterprises, he still wanted Sally to shine. So he made her the CEO of Newman Media. He needed to keep his distance from Sally for his sister to keep her at work. So he dumped Sally. After Sally heard him telling Sharon about his reason, they shared a passionate kiss. But that couldn’t save their relationship as Adam stuck to his words although it was killing him.

Fast forward, Sally ended up dating Adam’s brother Nick. Adam, who was not having it, pulled her aside after a night at a club watching her celebrate with Nick and told her that they belong together and even proposed to her. It was almost romantic until she said no. As a final goodbye, they slept with each other one last time. Sally also told him that the connection had changed for good. They parted ways and Sally decided to be with Nick. However, she later found out that she was pregnant and that the baby was Adam’s. Since then Adam is trying to win her back but Sally is stuck in her one-sided love with Nick.
